SPONSORSHIP

Sponsorship 2006/07

This season we are again indebted to the Walcot Educational Foundation part of Lambeth Endowed Charities for supporting our activities. This foundation remains the main contributor to the cost of holding our 7 a side tournament.

We have also received financial help this year from the Newcomen Collett Foundation which is a similar body to the Walcot but operating in Southwark.

We are also pleased to have established contact with Chris Autos of Walworth who are funding our plate competition at the 7 a sides and will possibly be buying space on the web site.

Sponsorship 2005/06

Our application for funding to the Walcot Educational Trust to hold this years 7 a side tournament has again been successful and we have been awarded £4000. As we have increased the number of participating schools from 20 to 25 our costs have increased considerably. We are also having an awards ceremony for the first time which means we incur more costs than before. To help with the costs of staging the awards ceremony we have also applied for a Lambeth Council Community Chest grant but will not know how much if anything we get till the end of May.

This season our pitch hire costs at the South Bank University Sports Ground have been met by the School Sports Co-ordinater scheme run by the London Nautical School. Thanks to Luke Smith the manager of the scheme.

Any offers of funding or requests for further information regarding sponsorship should be made to Gary Cornforth via e-mail gary.cornforth@tiscali.co.uk or telephone 07905 910575.

Thank you

Jonathan Miller of Croydon (and Newcastle, LPSFL isn't proud) for your donation. Your personal generosity is much appreciated.

Sponsors 2004/05

This year the league was awarded £500 from the Lambeth Community Chest to assist with running costs for the current season.

The 2004 annual 7 a side tournament was funded jointly by the Walcot Educational Trust, which gave us £2000. We also received £500 from Clapham Estate Agents Keating Estates and £300 from the South London Schools FA.

The Walcot Educational Trust has funded the 7 a side tournament since its inception in 1997 and we were pleased to receive £300 a year funding from 1999 to 2003 from Morgan Berry Estate Agents of Brixton Hill.

In 2000 the league was awarded a one off grant of £1000 from the Lambeth Lewisham and Southwark Health Trust.

The majority of our current funding is directed at financing the annual 7 a side tournament which requires substantial outlay on ground hire, marquee rental, printed t shirts for all players, tournament medals and trophies and the cost of providing qualified referees.

Pitch hire costs for the league season are usually covered by the subscriptions paid by member schools.
