XIV ANNUAL 7 A SIDE TOURNAMENT

Sunday 13 June 2010 at the London South Bank University Sports Ground saw 20 schools from Lambeth and Southwark compete in our 14th annual 7 a side tournament. On a pleasant warm day over 200 primary school players and their friends and relatives enjoyed another great day of football. The occasion ended with St Francesca Cabrini of Honor Oak defeating Loughborough of Brixton in a penalty shoot out to win the coveted Walcot Cup. With the scores level at 1-1 after extra time it took 18 penalties before Cabrini secured the win they wanted to go one better than last year when they lost in the final to St Bernadette's.

The Newcomen Collett Shield was lifted by St Mary's of Clapham 4-1 despite going a goal down in the final to newcomers Henry Cavendish of Balham who gave a great account of themselves in their first season in the tournament.

The St Saviours & St Olaves Plate was won by Immanuel & St Andrew's of Streatham who overcame Allen Edwards of Stockwell 1-0 in the final.
