LAMBETH & SOUTHWARK PRIMARY SCHOOLS FOOTBALL (L&SPSF)

(affiliated to South London Schools FA)

Lambeth & Southwark Primary Schools Football (L&SPSF) aims to provide organised, competitive football for boys and girls attending primary or junior schools in Lambeth and Southwark. Its objective in doing this is to encourage physical and social development, teamworking , discipline and the ethic of fair play in which winning is important but is not seen as something to be achieved at all costs. L&SPSF seeks to introduce Lambeth and Southwark children to the benefits of playing football and in so doing hopes to help both boys and girls maintain an active lifestyle.

L&SPSF offers out of school hours regular 11 a side league and cup football from September to Easter and a Summer one day 7 a side tournament. Any schools wishing to participate or which would like more information should contact Gary Cornforth the development worker by phone or e-mail. See below for details.

The league works with qualified coaches and aims to make available to schools football coaches at all levels of the FA coaching programme. All individuals are qualified in child protection, basic first aid, and football skills and tactics coaching and are all police checked.

VENUES

From January 2011 we again have the use of the sports ground in Turney Road formerly run by the London South Bank University. Following negotiations between the University and Southwark Community Sports Trust of which we are a founder member the management of the site is now in the hands of the Trust. We are therefore in the fortunate position of having the use of both the Rosendale Playing Fields and the renamed Dulwich Sports Ground in Turney Road.
